Patient Experience Stories

A new logo, an appropriate color palette, easy-to-read typography and design elements that take into account the readability of the website. Although the focus was on simplifying the database, design plays a crucial role in the user experience of the new website.

Our approach
Discovery session
We identified the complex requirements of the different target groups (patients, researchers, healthcare providers) and analyzed the current technical bottlenecks.
Debrief
We summarized all insights in a clear project framework, so we could be sure we had our heads in the same direction for this extensive project.
Website structure
We designed a logical flow and navigation structure (sitemap) that allows visitors to intuitively navigate through thousands of stories.
Website design
Translating it into a visual design that exudes tranquility and confidence, with great attention to readability and accessibility.
Data model collection
Behind the scenes, we built a smart data model to make the huge database of stories filterable and searchable like a search engine.
Website construction
The technical realization of the platform, where we linked the design to the database and ensured flawless operation on all devices.
Live
After extensive testing, we flipped the switch and migrated the entire collection to the new environment.
Patient Experience Stories is an initiative of the Erasmus School of Health Policy & Management. The collection offers over 8,000 experience stories for and by patients and loved ones. This amazing collection has grown over the past 15 years. A dragon of a database and outdated website were the starting point of our collaboration.
Design: logo, typography, color palette and design elements
Website: design and construction
Structuring the database
Migration: the entire collection and existing content
Simplicity and convenience for all visitors
Patients as well as scientists, policy makers and healthcare professionals, for example, use patient experience stories. The new website takes these different audiences into account and makes finding the right stories as easy as possible for everyone. Searching feels like ‘Googling,’ try it :).

Too crazy to see how Tweekoppig has managed to turn a terribly corny database website into a fresh, accessible one! Searching the database is like searching Google, and we can offer our visitors new stories in a much more engaging way.

Interactive trade show booth video
For the Dental Expo, we developed an interactive experience that leads visitors physically through the booth as well as in depth online. By cutting the production into three parts - the tour, the 'practice of the future' and a post-expo version - we created content that remains relevant both on the show floor and long afterwards.
