Floor as interim marketing manager

For ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems, Floor took over all marketing work upon the departure of the marketing manager. The new website was launched, a recruitment campaign set up and content produced on an ongoing basis. And, of course, a new marketing manager was also hired.

Our approach
Plan of action
We took stock of ongoing issues and set priorities to keep the marketing machine running during the bridging period.
Transfer
Departing marketing manager A quick and efficient transfer of knowledge to ensure that no valuable information was lost.
Interim period
Floor took charge of projects such as the website launch and recruitment campaigns and was the point of contact for the team.
Breaking in new marketing manager
When the new manager started, we provided a warm handover and worked in parallel for a period of time.
Handing over ongoing projects
We handed over all the files and plans neatly so that the new manager could get a flying start.
Quite unexpectedly, our collaboration with ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems (AAES) changed with the departure of the marketing manager. Where we already had a partnership for content marketing (production of blogs, web texts and videos), we temporarily jumped into the gap left by the marketing manager.
By taking over the work of the marketing manager for several months, AAES had time to search for a new marketing manager. The transfer from the old marketing manager to Floor to the new marketing manager went as smoothly as you can have it.
Prioritize, and above all do
The moment you take over the work of someone who has worked within the organization for 20 years, you are sure to do things differently. That means: take stock of what's running, prioritize and, above all, get to work. Within AAES, the recruitment of the new marketing manager quickly got underway. The focus in this interim job was on keeping the train running. Specifically: launching the new website, setting up a recruitment campaign, continuing content production and being a sparring partner for all marketing related issues.
Sparring, making annual plans and keeping things running
After 4 months, the new marketing manager started. For a period of about 2 months we worked in parallel. Where we kept the projects running, she had time to quietly land and think about the annual plans. After many hours of sparring, brainstorming and sifting through the various marketing models, we now have a wonderful plan for the coming years. With peace of mind, we step back into our role as an external partner. A role that has become even more valuable because of all the knowledge we have gained through Floor's interim role.
Launch new website
AAES is part of a large corporate organization. So the launch of the new website was top-down driven. No choice in CMS, design or structure. The main task was to translate the corporate content to the Dutch market. Literally from English to Dutch but also by determining what local content was needed.
Besides enriching the content by creating their own landing pages and adding content blocks to existing pages, the entire transition from old to new website also had to be coordinated. After all, how do you make sure all the redirects are set properly? You still get found on Google? And you keep the historical statistics? All in all, a mega job with a successful go live as a result!
Campaign for installation technicians
There is a great need for installation engineers within AAES. Therefore, in collaboration with the HR department, we set up a great campaign. By making videos of 2 enthusiastic installation mechanics, by setting up our own campaign page to make installation mechanics enthusiastic about AAES and by developing different chunks of content for social media. Sparring partner in new projects
A tremendous number of interesting projects are underway within AAES. From setting up our own Academy to developing the so-called BIM tool and running a campaign to motivate retailers to close their doors. Marketing plays an important role in all these projects. Because how do you tell the market about the great initiatives? Exactly, with great content and a good plan that ensures that this content is seen by the right people.
Super nice that you helped us and continue to help us. So much to do and so many more opportunities. Thank you for your energy, speed and the quality of your work.
